If you watched last week’s Sexy Vs. Skanky episode you might have noticed something rather odd happening at the 2:44 minute mark. There is a man wearing an orange vest leading a woman around on what appears to be a leash. Even though this is New York City and stranger things have happened, the Hello Style team did some digging around to find out what was REALLY going on that day! 

As it turns out, the man in question really was leading the woman along on a leash, but don’t start getting any crazy ideas! This was actually part of a collaboration between Improv Everywhere and Buzzfeed to prove the point that walking while texting is dangerous.

Instead of going the boring route, Improv Everywhere and Buzzfeed offered a ridiculous solution to the problem, which in turn delivered their message loud and clear. To make this happen, they enlisted 60 participants who then divided into pairs. Half were “Seeing Eye People” (wearing bright orange vests) and the other half were unobservant people instructed to text and walk.

What was your favorite episode from this season?

LR: It’s a tie between two - “Sex and the City” because it’s so much fun to reminisce about the show and hearing Mike’s opinion was hilarious. I was never a huge fan of the characters but I’m a huge fan of the fashion. The other is “Baby Bump” because it was fun working with Glamo.

MC: I don’t have a favorite episode, but the most fun I had shooting was whenever we were drinking. I’m not ashamed to admit that I became quite a fan of that fruity libation known as Glamo, I mean Cosmo.

Have the fashion tips you’ve learned throughout the season influenced your own style?

LR: It hasn’t changed my style choices but I learned that normal guys prefer very simply, straightforward, easy to get off looks while girls dress for other girls. We understand different fashion trends like wearing a bright lip and color blocking.

MC: I’ve learned that fashion is constantly changing and evolving, so I either need to catch up and ride the wave or continue dressing like an 11 year old. I’ve decided that my efforts are better spent making people laugh/uncomfortable.

How are HelloStyle fans different from other viewers you’ve come across? 

LR: They are very outspoken and can be brutal at times but there are also fans who have stuck with us, come to really appreciate us, and even share inside jokes with us! It’s the first time I’ve been a part of a show where fans can put their ideas forward.

MC: HelloStyle fans are different in the sense that they exist. Before this series the only people that watched my videos were my friends (because we would be drunk and I’d make them), or my disappointed mom. Now I have a plethora of young teenage girls who send me very uncomfortable tweets. Follow me @IamMikeCannon

What was one behind-the-scenes moment you will never forget?

LR: The entire crew came up with a musical called “Baby Hair” based the stylist’s battle with my baby hairs. 

MC: One of the behind the scenes moments that I’ll never forget was the first time I saw Glamo bottomless. It was as if I was looking into the eye of our Lord. But in all honesty the set was always super loose and fun, and I couldn’t have asked for better people to work with - besides that down-under criminal Lyndsey. I was always worried that she was going through my wallet.
